State Grid Xuzhou Power Supply Company utilized its self-developed wind and solar forecasting technology to accurately assess photovoltaic power generation, ensuring photovoltaic energy consumption in Xuzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province.
Tailored to the local geographical and meteorological features, this technology significantly improved the accuracy of photovoltaic power generation forecasting. 115 virtual grid stations across the city assisted grid operators in flexibly adjusting power grid distribution.
The technical platform harnesses historical data to continuously optimize photovoltaic forecasting strategies, providing photovoltaic power generation forecasting at 15-minute intervals over a 10-day period.
Since its application, the accuracy of photovoltaic power generation forecasts has been improved by around 2.85%, and photovoltaic power stations have generated an additional 400,000 kWh of green electricity per month.
