TEHRAN, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said Tuesday that curbing inflation and reducing prices are among the priorities the country's new administration should address to.

He made the remarks in his first meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's administration in Iran's capital of Tehran, according to a statement published on Khamenei's website.

Those issues should be resolved appropriately, Khamenei said, stressing that the keys to solving Iran's economic problems are boosting domestic production, which will help reduce inflation, uplift employment, increase the value of the national currency, and improve the supply chain.

Developing nuclear energy technology should be an infrastructure priority necessary for Iran's future, he said.

Implementing projects within the framework of international transport corridors is another priority, apart from ensuring food security, achieving self-sufficiency in wheat production, employing new irrigation systems in agriculture, and developing the domestic oil industry's upstream sectors, he said.

Khamenei also called on state departments to master artificial intelligence (AI) and warned of certain countries' curbs on others' access to AI.

Last Wednesday, Iranian lawmakers approved all of Pezeshkian's cabinet picks.
