LOS ANGELES, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Marvel Studios' superhero film "Deadpool & Wolverine" reclaimed the top spot at the North American box office with an estimated 18.3 million U.S. dollars on its fifth weekend of release, figures from the measurement firm Comscore showed on Sunday.
The film topped the North American box office charts for three consecutive weeks after its release, but was dethroned last week by the science fiction horror film "Alien: Romulus."
The R-rated action comedy has grossed 577.2 million dollars in North America and 634.1 million overseas for a whopping global cume of 1.2 billion dollars.
"Deadpool & Wolverine" is now among the top 10 highest-grossing superhero movies in global box office history. ■
