YANGON, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar police seized 1.25 million stimulant tablets in eastern Shan State, according to the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC).

Acting on a tip-off, the joint anti-narcotic task force inspected a house in Kengtung Township of Shan State on Aug. 22 and confiscated 1.25 million stimulant tablets and 427 kg of ketamine from a vehicle parked in the house compound.

The seized drugs had a street value of over 4.1 billion kyats (about 1.95 million U.S. dollars). A suspect was arrested.

The suspect has been charged under the Southeast Asian country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, and further investigations were underway, the CCDAC said.
