PHNOM PENH, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia's Foreign Minister Sok Chenda Sophea left here on Monday for Manila, the Philippines, where he will co-chair the fourth meeting of the Cambodia-Philippines Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC), scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, according to Cambodian foreign ministry.
His visit was made at the invitation of Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo.
"The meeting will follow up and review progress in implementing agreements reached during the third meeting of the Cambodia-Philippines JCBC in 2021, and chart a new course of action to further strengthen the long-standing relations between the two countries," the ministry said.
"The two ministers will also touch on regional developments and international issues of common interest and concern," it added.
During the visit, Chenda Sophea, who is also a Cambodian deputy prime minister, will pay a courtesy call on Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos and attend a luncheon hosted by Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte, it added. ■
