TEHRAN, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- Iran's new Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi on Thursday exchanged views on bilateral ties with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell during two separate phone calls.
In a phone call with his German counterpart, Araghchi highlighted the necessity to continue bilateral political consultations and the role of mutual respect and concentration on the common interests in maintaining and strengthening relations between Tehran and Berlin in different areas.
In talks with the EU foreign policy chief, Araghchi pointed to the "diverse and numerous" areas for interaction between Iran and the bloc and mutual respect on which the growth of bilateral ties is based. ■
