MONTEVIDEO, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Uruguayan financial analysts maintained their economic growth forecast for 2024 at 3.30 percent, a figure that has held steady since July, according to the results of an expectations survey published Tuesday by the Central Bank of Uruguay.
The country's economy grew 0.6 percent in the first quarter of 2024, after expanding 0.4 percent last year.
Looking ahead to 2025, analysts consulted by the bank adjusted their forecast to 2.50 percent.
Regarding inflation, the experts projected a rate of 5.30 percent for 2024 and an increase of 0.40 percent in August, according to the median of the survey results. ■
