SUVA, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Fiji's Health Ministry has raised concerns about growing popularity of e-cigarettes, particularly among the youth in the country.
E-cigarettes are now creating significant challenges due to their growing addictive nature, said Health Minister Atonio Lalabalavu on Friday.
He said this was also having a social impact on Fiji's communities, reported Fiji Broadcasting Corporation.
Lalabalavu said many e-cigarette users, particularly young people, may not fully grasp potential long-term health risks associated with vaping.
Therefore, the government is focusing on enhancing greater awareness and education regarding dangers of e-cigarettes, the minister added. ■
