KIEV, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Russia unleashed another airstrike on Ukraine overnight Wednesday, targeting infrastructure facilities in two regions, Ukrainian authorities said in posts on Telegram.
A Shahed-type drone hit an infrastructure facility in the Nizhyn district of the northern Chernihiv region, causing no casualties, the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration said.
Another infrastructure facility came under a kamikaze drone attack in the neighboring Zhytomyr region in northwestern Ukraine, said regional governor Vitaliy Bunechko.
Private buildings in the Zhytomyr region were damaged by debris from the projectiles, Bunechko said, noting that there were no casualties.
Meanwhile, Russia fired two Kh-59/69 guided missiles and 23 Shahed-136 and Shahed-131 combat drones at Ukraine overnight, said the Ukrainian Air Force.
The air defense downed 17 drones over eight Ukrainian regions, it said. ■
