YANGON, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Thirty-five passengers were injured when an express bus overturned in central Myanmar's Mandalay region, an official from the Pyin Oo Lwin Fire Services Department told Xinhua on Monday.
The accident happened around 6 p.m. local time on Sunday in Pyin Oo Lwin town of Mandalay region, he said. It was believed that the bus skidded before it overturned.
All 35 passengers in the vehicle were injured and taken to a nearby hospital. Nine of them were in a serious condition, including one woman with life-threatening head injuries, the official said. ■
