JERUSALEM -- An Israeli civilian was killed, and another was injured on Sunday afternoon in a drive-by shooting in the occupied West Bank, Israeli authorities said.

NEW DELHI -- Ten members of a family drowned Sunday after a vehicle they were traveling in was swept away by flood water in the northern Indian state of Punjab, police said.

The vehicle was swept away in a rivulet near Jejon town of Hoshiarpur district, about 114 km northwest of Chandigarh, the capital city of Punjab. (India-Punjab-Drowning)

MANDERA, Kenya -- Kenyan security forces have launched a manhunt for al-Shabab militants who killed a government official on Saturday before hijacking and fleeing with his official car in Mandera County which borders Somalia.

Mandera County Commissioner Henry Ochako who confirmed the incident on Sunday said that the militants ambushed and killed the official at 3 p.m. local time at Kamor area in Mandera town before fleeing with his vehicle.

Ochako said a woman who was in the car jumped out of the moving vehicle and escaped. (Kenya-Militant)
