PARIS, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- Spain's Jordan Diaz continued his meteoric rise by clinching the men's triple jump gold at the Paris Olympics on Friday.
The 23-year-old, who announced himself on the international stage by securing the European title in June, won with a distance of 17.86 meters at Stade de France.
Portugal's Pedro Pichardo claimed silver with 17.84 meters and Italy's Andy Diaz took bronze with 17.64 meters. ■
