GAZA, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- Ten months after the outbreak of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on Oct. 7, 2023, food has become scarce in the Gaza Strip, and Palestinians in the enclave are heavily reliant on food aid.

The World Food Programme (WFP) warned that hostilities, damaged roads, and the lack of public order and safety severely hamper food transport operations in Gaza, forcing reduced rations.

The agency said that while it reached 1 million people in Gaza in July, food distribution points continue to face major disruptions due to conflict, evacuation orders and damage to infrastructure.
