MOSCOW, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that an employee of the Moldovan Embassy here had been declared persona non grata as a response to similar actions by Chisinau.
The ministry said in a statement that it had summoned the charge d'affaires of Moldova and issued a protest against their unfriendly actions.
"The Moldovan authorities on Aug. 1 this year declared an employee of the Russian Embassy in Moldova persona non grata," the statement said, adding that Russia's move is "a response to the unmotivated decision of the Moldovan authorities." ■
