KABUL, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan's gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 2.7 percent year on year during the Persian calendar year of 1402 through March 19, data from the country's National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) showed on Wednesday.
Afghanistan's GDP reached 15.7 billion U.S. dollars during the cited period, NSIA acting deputy chief Esmatullah Hakimi told a government accountability program.
According to Hakimi, the annual per capita income in the central Asian country reached 493 U.S. dollars, increasing by 70 U.S. dollars from a year earlier. ■
