YUSHU, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Qumar River is situated in the source region of the Yangtze River, within the western part of the Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China's Qinghai Province. Originating from Hoh Xil, the river ultimately converges into the Tongtian River. The lower reaches of the Qumar River are characterized predominantly by braid-shaped river channels, which form a type of shallow water multi-channeled system at the source region of the Yangtze River.
