ULAN BATOR, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia and Switzerland have signed several cooperation documents, said the Mongolian presidential office on its website on Friday.
The documents, including a joint declaration between Mongolia and the Swiss Confederation and a memorandum of understanding on democracy between Mongolia and Switzerland, were signed in the Mongolian capital, Ulan Bator.
Swiss President Viola Amherd arrived in Ulan Bator on Friday for a three-day state visit, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation.
The state visit holds particular significance as it marks the first visit by a Swiss president to Mongolia since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1964. Endterm.
