NEW DELHI, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- At least two people were killed and over 40 others went missing Thursday after cloudbursts hit India's northern state of Himachal Pradesh, officials said.
Authorities have rushed civilian officials, police and disaster response force personnel to trace the missing and carry out rescue efforts.
On Tuesday, multiple landslides hit the southern Indian state of Kerala's Wayanad district causing large-scale destruction to life and property.
According to India's state-run broadcaster All India Radio, the death toll in the landslide-affected region has risen to 250. ■
