PARIS, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Britain's Kieran Reilly will go into Wednesday's BMX men's Freestyle final at the Paris Olympics as favorite after finishing as the top qualifier with 91.68 points.

On a steaming hot afternoon in Paris, Reilly finished ahead of U.S. BMX ace Marcus Christopher, who clocked 89.48 points, while Australia's reigning Olympic champion, Logan Martin, had 89.39 points, with Justin Dowell of the United States just behind on 89.07.

Hannah Roberts finished top of women's qualifying with 91.45 points, ahead of 18-year-old Chinese rider, Deng Yawen, who scored 91.03 points, and Sun Jiaji, who got 87.83 points.

The surprise was to see reigning champion Charlotte Worthington fail to qualify after two uninspiring runs, and she admitted afterwards these could be her last Olympics.

Although these riders are favorites, it is also likely that all the qualifiers will try more difficult stunts as they go for gold in the Urban sports area in Paris' emblematic Place de la Concorde.
