JERUSALEM, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Israel's military announced in a statement on Tuesday that it conducted "a targeted strike" in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, to eliminate a Hezbollah commander.
According to the military, this commander was responsible for launching a rocket that resulted in the deaths of 12 children in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights on Saturday. ■
