PRAGUE, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Prague Airport said on Wednesday it has experienced technical issues with information systems and the malfunction was resolved later in the afternoon.
"The display systems with information about departures from Prague Airport are currently not working. This is a technical problem that we are working hard to solve. Passengers still should follow the information on the flipcharts, check the current updates at the counters and pay attention to the radio announcements," the airport said on social media platform X.
Later in the afternoon the airport said that the departure information display systems were once again operational and passengers can obtain information about their flight as usual.
"We apologize for any inconvenience caused to passengers... We are still analyzing the cause of the failure at the moment," it said.
Last week, Prague airport was affected by a global outage of computer systems. It caused problems especially in check-in at the airport, with some flights delayed on departure.
Also on Wednesday, Prague Airport said it handled 7.18 million passengers in the first half of this year, up 23 percent year on year. However, the figure is still below that of 2019, the year before the COVID-19 pandemic, when the airport handled 7.8 million passengers in the first six months of the year. ■
