SINGAPORE, July 25 (Xinhua) -- A malicious actor breached the third-party platform Ezynetic and stole the data of about 128,000 clients to 12 licensed moneylenders, Singapore's Ministry of Law said Thursday.
The data contain personally identifiable information. The moneylenders and Ezynetic have reported to police and related authorities.
The moneylenders also reminded their clients to stay vigilant against possible phishing scams.
The Ministry of Law noted that it was investigating the matter with the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore and the Personal Data Protection Commission. ■
