VIENTIANE, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Laos will conduct a feasibility study to develop a blockchain technology system in order to promote agricultural products.
The Lao Ministry of Technology and Communications will work with development partners to cooperate on a feasibility study for developing a linked data group technology system to promote products, the Lao National Radio reported on Thursday.
The feasibility study will focus on developing a system of detailed information on products that can be accessed by consumers. This will include information on all processes of production, from the stage of crop production to the stage of the final product to be used by consumers.
This technology system will help to build trust and transparency and verify the origin of products.
The technology will help build confidence among consumers deciding to buy Lao products, create added value for products, and support export of local goods. ■
