HANOI, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Some 2,800 new units were launched in the resort real estate segment in Vietnam in the second quarter of 2024, an eight-fold increase from the first and mostly concentrated in a few locations, VnExpress cited the Vietnam Association of Realtors on Wednesday.
According to real estate agency DKRA Group, new condotel supply increased by 51 percent year-on-year, mostly in central Nha Trang beach city.
The number of resort real estate transactions also rose seven-fold from a year ago, said the report.
Resort villas costing below 10 billion Vietnamese dong (395,000 U.S. dollars) and condotels below 3 billion dong (118,200 dollars) were sold the most, said the group.
Vo Hong Thang, director of consulting and project development at DKRA Group, forecast that 400-500 condotels and 100-150 resort villas would be launched in the third quarter, primarily in Da Nang City and Khanh Hoa and Quang Ninh provinces. ■
