YANGON, July 16 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and eight others were injured in a crash on Myanmar's Nay Pyi Taw-Yangon highway, an official from the Fire Services Department (Bago Region) told Xinhua on Tuesday.
The accident occurred around 5 a.m. local time as a car coming down the slope collided with a truck parked on the road, he added.
Five people on the truck were seriously injured while one had minor injuries. Two people in the car also sustained minor injuries, he said.
The injured were sent to a local hospital, he added. ■
