NEW DELHI, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Six persons died and eight others were injured as a speeding truck collided with a stationary bus in India's western state of Gujarat on Monday, confirmed a local police over phone.
The road mishap occurred on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway, near the Anand town, he added.
The private bus was parked by the roadside after a tire burst, and the passengers were standing by the side of the bus when the speeding truck rammed into them.
Five people, including the bus driver, were killed instantly, and another one succumbed to injuries in a hospital. The condition of other injured people admitted to the local hospital was said to be stable. ■
