NEW YORK, July 12 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 jolted 57 km E of Tarata, Peru, at 18:19:04 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 163.3 km, was initially determined to be at 17.40 degrees south latitude and 69.50 degrees west longitude. ■
