PANJSHIR, Afghanistan, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Gem lovers enjoyed a feast for the eyes during a fair of emerald and its products held in Afghanistan's Panjshir province.
The fair opened with the aim of promoting investment in the mining sector, spokesman for the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum Hamayon Afghan said.
Due to its fabulous color, exceptional clarity and brilliant luster, Panjshir emerald is regarded as a highly coveted emerald variety in the market.
