AMMAN, July 11 (Xinhua) -- The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, in coordination with the Jordan Armed Forces, on Thursday sent 50 trucks of aid to the Gaza Strip to relieve the enclave's humanitarian crisis.
The convoy included food, medical supplies, disinfectants, blankets, mattresses, clothes, and shoes, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
The batch was prepared in cooperation with the World Food Program and supported by the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, Doctors Without Borders, the Palestinian Medical Relief Society, and other entities.
Hussein Al-Shibli, secretary-general of the royal charity, said a total of 2,563 truckloads of aid from Jordan had entered the Gaza Strip while 53 planes more via Egypt's El-Arish Airport. Enditem.
