TEHRAN, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Iran's President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian said on Thursday that Iran has no limit for deepening its relations with Serbia.

He made the remarks during a phone call with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, reported Iran's official news agency IRNA.

Pezeshkian said he hoped the two countries would manage to exploit the existing areas and capacities to expand bilateral cooperation.

He stressed that Iran respects all countries' territorial integrity.

Vucic, for his part, congratulated Pezeshkian on being elected as Iran's president, wishing him success in fulfilling his new responsibility.

He hoped that the Serbia-Iran relations, which expanded well during the term of Iran's late President Ebrahim Raisi who died in a helicopter crash on May 19, would continue to improve while bilateral cooperation will be expanded in different areas during Pezeshkian's term.

Pezeshkian, a former health minister, was announced as Iran's next president on July 6 following his victory in a runoff against Saeed Jalili, a former chief nuclear negotiator.
