SINGAPORE, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's investment firm Temasek on Tuesday reported a net portfolio value of 389 billion Singapore dollars (288 billion U.S. dollars) for the financial year ended March 31, up 7 billion Singapore dollars from a year ago.

Temasek attributed the performance to investment returns from the U.S. and India.

After marking the unlisted assets to market, Temasek's net portfolio value increased to 420 billion Singapore dollars.

The 20-year and 10-year total shareholder return remained stable at 7 percent and 6 percent, respectively, the company noted.

Temasek said it maintained a cautious but steady investment pace amid global economic uncertainties and continued to maintain a high level of liquidity.

The investment firm vowed to catalyze solutions for sustainable development and encourage enterprises to transform through innovation.
