DHAKA, July 8 (Xinhua) -- A three-day South Asia regional seminar titled "Expert Consultation Meeting on Accelerating Transformation Process for Sustainable and Nutrition Sensitive Food Systems in South Asia" kicked off here on Monday.
South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Agriculture Center, in collaboration with Welthungerhilfe, organized the event planned to be held on July 8-10.
The expert consultation meeting is aimed at tackling the pressing challenges confronting South Asian countries in transitioning agri-food systems towards sustainability and nutrition sensitivity, said the organizers.
About 50 participants, including national focal point experts, government officials, nutrition specialists, policymakers, and relevant development partners are participating in the seminar, marking a significant collaborative effort towards reshaping agri-food systems in South Asia. ■
