BEIRUT, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Saturday congratulated Iranian President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian and wished him success during his presidential term.
"I congratulate you on this blessed election by the dear and honorable Iranian people," Nasrallah said, according to Lebanon's Elnashra news website.
"We always look to the Islamic Republic of Iran as a strong, stable and permanent support for the resistance and the oppressed," added the Hezbollah leader.
"We are with you ... we will continue this path until we achieve final victory," he said.
Pezeshkian, Iran's former health minister, won the country's 14th presidential election, Iran's Election Headquarters Spokesperson Mohsen Eslami announced earlier in the day. ■
