HANOI, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's national index of industrial production advanced 7.54 percent year-on-year in the first half of this year, the General Statistics Office has said.
The processing and manufacturing sector went up 8.67 percent year-on-year in the first six months of 2024.
The electricity production and distribution sector expanded 13.26 percent, and the water supply and waste management sector increased 7.13 percent.
The index of industrial production in the first half of the year increased in 56 localities nationwide and dropped in seven others, said the office. ■
