TOKYO, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Japan launched its new flagship H3 rocket on Monday morning carrying the Advanced Land Observing Satellite-4 (ALOS-4), the live feed of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) showed.
Launched from the Tanegashima Space Center on Tanegashima Island in the southwestern prefecture of Kagoshima, the vehicle has confirmed its second-stage separation, putting the satellite into target orbit.

According to local media reports, this marked the first time that the new H3 has successfully launched a large satellite for practical use. ■
