TASHKENT, June 29 (Xinhua) -- As of June 1 this year, enterprises with foreign investments in Uzbekistan have increased nearly by 20 percent year on year, the state statistics agency said.
"As of June 1, 2024, the number of registered enterprises with foreign investments in the country reached 20,558, which is by 20 precent higher than the corresponding period in 2023," the report says.
It is noted that for the same period in 2023, this figure was 17,478, and 14,566 in 2022.
In recent years, Uzbekistan has attracted foreign investments of more than 60 billion U.S. dollars, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at the third Tashkent International Investment Forum in May of this year. ■
