BEIJING, June 29 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted 42 km SSW of Atiquipa, Peru at 0705 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 19.3 km, was initially determined to be at 16.12 degrees south latitude and 74.58 degrees west longitude. ■
