ULAN BATOR, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia and Uzbekistan signed several cooperation documents on Monday to enhance bilateral ties, according to the Mongolian presidential office's website.

The documents, which include a 2024-2026 program for developing trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as agreements in the fields of tourism, agriculture, air transport, and science, were signed in the Uzbek capital Tashkent, in the presence of Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Khurelsukh arrived in Tashkent on Sunday for a four-day state visit at the invitation of Mirziyoyev, accompanied by a high-ranking political and economic delegation.

This state visit marks the first by a Mongolian president to Uzbekistan since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1992.
