BEIJING, June 21 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Polish President Andrzej Duda will pay a state visit to China from Saturday to Wednesday.
Born in 1972 in the city of Krakow, Poland, Duda obtained a Doctor of Law degree at the Jagiellonian University.
He was elected a member of the Sejm or lower house of the Polish parliament in 2011, then elected a member of the European Parliament in 2014. Duda was sworn in as the sixth president of the Republic of Poland in August 2015, and started his second term in August 2020.
He is married to Agata Kornhauser-Duda. ■
