WINDHOEK, June 18 (Xinhua) -- Eight people were killed in a head-on collision in Namibia's northeastern region of Otjozondjupa on Tuesday, police said.
Maureen Mbeha, head of the Community Policing Sub-Division in Otjozondjupa, said all the fatalities were passengers in a 7-seater vehicle involved in the collision.
The incident occurred 20 km toward Otavi from Otjiwarongo on the B1 road.
Investigations are ongoing as authorities are currently on the scene and a full report will be submitted, according to police. ■
