TASHKENT, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and South Korea amounted to 2.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2023, according to a Friday report by the press service of the Uzbek president.
On the same day, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol, who is on a three-day state visit to Uzbekistan starting Thursday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed further expansion of practical cooperation in politics, trade, technology and other areas.
"It was noted that South Korea is among the leading trade and investment partners of Uzbekistan. Last year, trade turnover reached 2.5 billion dollars, and the volume of Korean investments exceeded 7.5 billion dollars," the report said. ■
