JERUSALEM -- Israel's General of the Northern Command Ori Gordin said Thursday that the deployment for a major offensive against Hezbollah has been "completed."
Speaking in a ceremony to mark 18 years of the 2006 Lebanon War, which was fought between Israel and Hezbollah, mainly on Lebanese soil, Gordin said that the army's mission is "returning security to northern Israel." (Israel-Hezbollah-Clashes)

SANAA/JERUSALEM -- Yemen's Houthi group on Thursday said that it had launched joint aerial attacks with an Iraqi group, targeting ships in Israel's port of Haifa, though the Israeli military denied the claim.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said in a statement aired by Houthi-run al-Masirah TV that "the precise operations" were carried out with drones in retaliation for the "massacres committed by the Israeli enemy in the (Palestinian) area of Rafah" in Gaza. (Yemen-Houthi Attack-Israeli Port)

KHARTOUM -- More than 100 people were killed in an attack by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on a village in central Sudan's Gezira State, local neighborhood group "the resistance committee" said Thursday.
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) has yet to respond. Still, the RSF said in a statement that its fighters attacked a group of Mustanfareen, meaning "the popular resistance" fighting alongside the Sudanese army in the area. (Sudan-RSF Strike-Deaths)

BEIRUT -- A member of the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah was killed and 10 civilians were injured in Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon on Thursday, Lebanese military sources said.
The sources, who spoke anonymously, said that the Israeli army conducted drone and missile attacks on a motorcycle and a vehicle in the village of Aitaroun, killing a Hezbollah member and wounding two others, while another two civilians were wounded in an Israeli raid targeting a three-story home in the village.
