PHNOM PENH, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia beat Mongolia 2-0 in an international football friendly match here Friday night.
Cambodia scored the opening in the 22nd minute through midfielder Yadai Ogawa before forward Sa Ty made it 2-0 in the 30th minute.
Played at the capital's National Olympic Stadium, the game, live broadcast on BTV news channel, attracted thousands of local spectators.
It was Cambodia's first international friendly match so far this year.
The Cambodian national team is under the charge of Argentinian coach Felix Dalmas, as the Mongolian squad is coached by Japanese Ichiro Otsuka.
Both teams will meet again in Mongolia on June 11.
In the FIFA rankings, Cambodia currently sits in the 179th place, while Mongolia is in the 191st spot. ■
