CENTRAL SULAWESI, Indonesia, June 6 (Xinhua) -- People happily said goodbye to baby hawksbill sea turtles before releasing them into the sea on the occasion of World Environment Day in Donggala regency, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia.

The hawksbill turtle is heavily hunted for its turtle shell and is therefore one of the most endangered sea turtle species in the world. One of the remaining populations inhabits the waters of Indonesia.
