SINGAPORE, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Singapore will invest 300 million Singapore dollars (222 million U.S. dollars) under its National Quantum Strategy to strengthen related study and talent pool, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat announced Thursday.
The new strategy aims to improve research in quantum communications and security, quantum processors, and quantum sensing, and translate the research into real-world solutions.
The island state also vows to establish a scholarship scheme for 100 PhD and 100 master-level graduates over the next five years to build a quantum-ready workforce. ■
