GENEVA, May 30 (Xinhua) -- The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) announced Wednesday that the FIVB Volleyball Empowerment and Development Program has approved 1,075 projects since its inception in 2017.
The world volleyball governing body has invested over 30 million Swiss francs (about 32.8 million U.S. dollars) into these projects, benefiting 199 National Federations (NFs).
These projects encompass a wide range of initiatives, including coaching, equipment, and education, all aimed at raising the level of national teams.
"Reaching 1,075 approved projects is a testament to the program's commitment to empowering athletes, national teams, and NFs in every corner of the world to fulfill their potential," FIVB said in its statement. ■
