GAZA, May 25 (Xinhua) -- The Palestinian Telecommunication Company announced on Saturday the interruption of internet services in the northern Gaza Strip, including the Gaza City.
"We regret to announce the interruption of fixed internet services in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip due to the ongoing aggression," the company said in a press statement on its official Facebook page, adding that the company was working to restore services as soon as possible.
Telecommunications and internet services in the Gaza Strip have been experiencing frequent interruptions since the beginning of the Israeli military operations.
Israel launched a large-scale offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip to retaliate against a Hamas rampage through the southern Israeli border on Oct. 7, 2023, during which about 1,200 people were killed and more than 200 were taken hostage. ■
