CHENGDU, May 24 (Xinhua) -- A road accident that has killed five people in southwest China's Sichuan Province was caused by driver fatigue, police said Friday.
A car crashed into the crowd waiting for buses at around 7:20 a.m. Tuesday in Wusheng County, killing two on the scene. Despite medical efforts, three more people later died from their injuries.
An initial investigation found that the 52-year-old car driver, surnamed Sun, had played mahjong overnight and drove the car when he felt sleepy and exhausted, according to the public security bureau of the county. ■
