STOCKHOLM, May 22 (Xinhua) -- A massive fire broke out in a building belonging to Danish pharmaceutics manufacturer Novo Nordisk on Wednesday.
The Copenhagen fire service, which sent around 100 firefighters to the building near the Novo Nordisk headquarters just outside the Danish capital, described the fire as "massive", local media reported.
The blaze started in a garbage truck before spreading to a building, BT newspaper reported.
Initially, there were no reports of casualties but the fire risked spreading to other buildings and motorists on a nearby highway were cautioned to slow down due to the smoke, BT reported.
It was the second time in less than a week that a blaze struck the pharmaceutics giant.
On Thursday, May 16, there was a fire in one of Novo Nordisk's buildings in Kalundborg where more than half of the world's insulin is produced. ■
