HANOI, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Three people in a family were found dead in a landslide debris on Wednesday in the Vietnam's northern mountainous region, local media reported.
The landslide happened on Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning at a local house in Hiep Luc commune, Bac Kan province. According to local authorities, there were eight people inside the house when the natural disaster occurred.
Five people managed to escape while three others, a child born in 2022 and the parents, were trapped inside.
Three consecutive days of rain were reported in the area before the landslide, Vietnam News Agency reported. ■
